In February
2018, the City of Hoover received a new National Pollutant Discharge
Elimination Systems (NPDES) Permit for its storm water program. As required by this new NPDES Permit, the
City has initiated an effort to update its Storm Water Management Program
(SWMP) Plan. The SWMP Plan describes the
activities performed by the City to help improve the quality of storm water
discharged from the storm sewer system.
This month, the City will post a Draft SWMP Plan on the City’s website
for review and comment. Instructions for
providing comments to the City will be provided on the website when the Draft
SWMP Plan is posted.
