[ARCHIVED] National Night Out

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and encourage participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.
Free festivities include a cookout sponsored by the City of Hoover and Target and displays by the Hoover Police Department, Hoover Fire Department, and Hoover-Jefferson County Air Support Unit. Join us to meet your Neighborhood Crime Prevention Officers and have your children fingerprinted as a part of a family safety plan. The Police Department Mobile Command Center, SWAT team, Explosive Ordinance Disposal team, and seized Porsche 911 will be on display. Motorcycle officers will be demonstrating the skills necessary to ride a police motorcycle. There will also be an exotic car show and numerous displays by area businesses.
Don’t miss this free opportunity for fun, food, and education for the whole family!
The Super Target is located at the Grove Shopping Center off Highway 150 at I459 in Hoover.
